Cheetah the cat and Slo the snail are the best of friends. Their friend Toad is celebrating his birthday and is having a party. He lives on the other side of the polder. Cheetah takes Slo on his back so they can get there quickly. He bolts, but is that such a smart move?
Together with Jose van Winden , I created a children's book to promote Midden-Delfland and, in particular, the cittaslow values of our municipality. The story takes place in Midden-Delfland, but that's not explicitly stated in the narrative. It could represent any Dutch polder. It's a book about friendship, enjoying each other and the environment, and becoming aware of all the beauty the polder has to offer.
